Born on September 29, 1951. Prof. Aderibigbe obtained his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering, University of Lagos in 1974 and earned his Doctor of Science (Sc.D) in Materials Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA in 1980. At Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he was Teaching Assistant in the graduate courses on Gas-Solid Reactions, Instructor and Teaching Assistant in Laboratory and Inland Steel Companyâ€™s Postdoctoral Research Associate (contributed to the present understanding of the behaviors of metallurgical coke in the Iron Furnace).
Prof. Aderibigbe started his career with University of Lagos as a Graduate Assistant on Study Leave to MIT in 1975-1980. He was Lecturer Grade 1 in Mechanical Engineering 1980-1982; Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering 1982-1987 and Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering from 1987- 1989. While in University of Lagos, he taught Engineering Courses for both Undergraduate and Graduate Students. He served as Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of NSE Prems Limited between 1999-2003. Currently, he is the Managing Director of 13M Limited.
Prof. Aderibigbe has over thirty years experience in teaching, research, product engineering , project management, physical and mathematical modeling of metallurgical processes; financial modeling of production systems and power plant development; development of technologies for small and medium-scale enterprises; foundry and solidification engineering.
Prof. Aderibigbe has a number of awards to his credit, namely, award from Shell-BP Scholar, University of Lagos; Inland Steel Companyâ€™s Postdoctoral Fellow at MIT; Jacob Blaustein International Fellow of the Institute for Desert Research; Recipient of the 1989 Meritorious Service Award of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (Lagos Branch); Recipient of the 2003 Presidential Merit Award of the Nigerian Society of Engineers for unalloyed support, drive, promoting the acquisition and development of Technology through nurturing and managing NSE Prems Limited.
He is a COREN Registered Engineer, a Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers, and Member of the Nigerian Metallurgical Society, Foundry Association of Nigeria, American Foundrymenâ€™s Society Metallurgical Society, Association of Consulting Engineers, Nigeria (ACEN) , American Ceramic Society, American Society of Metals, Nigerian Institute of Management and the International Facilities Management Association.
