The Nigerian Academy of Engineering held its First Academy Retreat

 

The Nigerian Academy of Engineering held a strategy planning Retreat on Tuesday 4th of September 2018 at the Chemical Engineering Complex, University of Lagos.

 

 

All past presidents, Council Members and members of the Academy Strategy Plan Committee were in attendance.

The Retreat focused on a four (4) point agenda and a presentation of the Strategy Plan Committee's report. Specifically issues of

Development of Technology Village in Lagos
Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Academy
Cooperation with all the stakeholders in Engineering
Encouraging more cooperation with international Academies to focus on three technological challenges facing our nation; which are Energy, Infrastructure and Food Security were discussed in details.

Highlights of the report include new Vision and Mission Statements, core values and a Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat (SWOT) analysis of the Academy. The report was approved for implementation.
